SONAR BANGLA SANG 2.55 LAKH
“Amar sonar bangla ami tomai valobashi…” 254,681 people sang sonar bangla (national anthem) in Parade Ground at 11:20 am on the eve of country’s 44th Independence Day being the part in “Lakho Konthe Sonar Bangla” to set a new world record in the Guinness Book of Record.
Prime minister Sheikh Hasina, cabinet members, members of parliament,
military - civilian officials, politicians, prominent citizens, cultural personalities,
social workers, garment workers, school - college and university students, and
people of different categories - career attended the Parade Ground to play
their lips to sing in unison the national anthem. Outstanding music composer Sujeya
Sam conducted the event of singing anthem.
The crowds of millions of the different classes - professions
were started gathering at the dawn to be the part of the record. They had been
seen in long queues to enter into the event. Several electric gates had been
set up to count the presence. The authorities of Guinness Book of Record had
presented in the event to count the presence also.
In the meanwhile everyone is given a bag that carried a
national flag, anthem written script, a guidance card, water bottle, saline
etc. 50 people had been separated in a block. Six thousands block had been created.
At 10.00 am Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the
event. She greeted everyone for Independence and National day of Bangladesh. She
started delivering her 8 minutes long speeches at 11.00 am. “People of
Bangladesh always create history,” Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said in her
speech. “We will sing our national anthem in love of our country and its
people.” Taking part in this event with a world record in a stage, she thanked
everyone.
It
was announced from the stage, a total of two million 54 thousand 681 people
were counted. However, the world record of singing the national anthem, the
parade ground was presented to three million people.
More
than three million voices during the 11:20 am sang 10 lines of the song. After
the national anthem, country's new generation of artists participated in the
cultural program. Bangladesh Television several private television
channels were broadcast live performances.
The official record for the most people to participate in
the singing of the national anthem of India was created on May 6, 2013. Sahara
Group arranged 1.22 lakh people attended last year's event. Today the
national Parade Ground about 2.6 lakh people together singing the national
anthem is going to establish a new world record.
The new record is ours. We are Bangali, making record we
get Independence. We know how to create record. This record belongs to Bangali.
